Kenya: Busia Boss to Launch Sh50 Million Bursary Today

BUSIA Governor Sospeter Ojaamong will today launch Sh50 million County Bursary Scheme aimed at helping bright but needy students. The ceremony to be held at Busia Youth Polytechnic from 10am will be a step forward in ending misery suffered by children from poor families who are unable to access basic education.

Busia county assembly passed the County Bursary Scheme Policy Bill in April, giving the county government authority to execute it. Ojaamong said the the county administration will distribute the money to 35 wards in the county in form of bursaries to needy students.
