Angola: President Swears in New Ministers

Luanda — The Angolan president José Eduardo dos Santos swore in this Thursday in Luanda João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço as National Defence minister and Cândido Pereira dos Santos Van-Dúnem as the minister of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Motherland, who were appointed on 22 April by presidential decree.

After presenting the protocol formal greetings to the new invested ministers at Presidential palace, Head of State called on the minister João Lourenço for his collaboration to make this institution stronger and more efficient, thus continue with the work of his predecessor.
