Kenya: Group Gives Sh300 Million for Development Projects

THE Lake Victoria Environment Management Programme II has disbursed more than Sh300 million to 118 community-driven development groups within catchment areas.

LVEMP II national project coordinator Fransisca Owuor said they have given out Sh300,950,021 to the groups for various projects including natural resource conservation and improvement of livelihoods.

"We are yet to disburse some Sh359,967,287 to the rest of the groups for development projects," she said. Owuor was speaking during a tour of projects in Siaya and Homa Bay on Saturday.
