Kenya: Family Protests Land Grabbing

MALINDI Members of Charo Shutu family yesterday protested against alleged harassment and intimidation by police. Japhet Noti Charo Shutu accused the officers of allegedly being used by "landgrabbers" to intimidate so that they stop fighting for their land.

He was speaking to journalists in his Malindi office yesterday. A local investor allegedly put up a bar on their land. Japhet said police nearly shot one of his sons at Kibokoni during a night raid. Police have denied the claims.
