Nigeria: Kwankwaso to Jonathan - Don't Judge Me By Your Standards

Kano State Governor, Dr. Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, has dismissed the statement by President Goodluck Jonathan that the state government cannot account for the money received from the Federation Account, saying he is not running a wasteful and corrupt administration.

Kwankwaso, responding to Jonathan's allegation during a rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano on April 15, told All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders at a meeting at the Government House weekend that the president was only trying to judge everybody by his own standards. The president, at the rally, accused the governor of not being able to account for over N225 billion collected from the Federation Account as local government allocations and of embezzling funds given to him during the PDP presidential primaries to pay allowances to party delegates from the state.
