Egypt: ANHRI Condemns the Apprehension of Two Students On Charge of Demonstrating Without License

Cairo: — The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information today deprecated apprehending a high school student and his colleague, on a charge of demonstrating without license nearby Tahrir Square.

On Friday April 25, security forces arrested the 17-year-old high school student "Abdallah Asem" -enrolled at "Dar Hiraa" Islamic school in Assiut- together with his colleague while they were in Tahrir Square, over an accusation of protesting without a permit. Asem is known as the "young inventor", for he invented a pair of glasses helps quadriplegia patients to communicate, and consequently, he is supposed to travel to USA on May 4 to represent Egypt at "Intel" competition.
