Tunisia: NCA Continues Adoption of Draft Electoral Law

Bardo, — Convening, Friday, in plenary session, the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) decided to delay the examination of articles 147, 148, 149, 154, 155, 158 and 159 of the draft electoral law which are still focus of dispute between the parliamentary caucus.

The disputed points provide for the sanctions of the election offenses and more particularly on the deprivation of freedom.
