Nigeria: U.S.S$10 Billion Jet Probe - Diezani Goes to Court

The planned probe of the charter and maintenance of two private jets by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) at the cost of $10 billion, for the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs Diezani Allison-Madueke, predictably hit the rock Monday as she and the corporation headed for the court seeking it to restrain the House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee (PAC) from investigating the matter.

One of the jets is a Challenger 850. The other is a Global Express XRS, which was said to have cost €600,000 in a return charter trip to London.
