The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said candidates of 18 political parties have been cleared to contest the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti State.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Alhaji Halilu Pai, announced this yesterday in Ado-Ekiti. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), four women, who would contest the position of deputy governor, were among those cleared to contest.
