Liberia: Barclay Redux - Bryant Not First Ex-Leader to Snub Government

Monrovia — Former Information Minister, Rev. Emmanuel Bowier has differed with recent assertions made by the current Information Minister Lewis Brown that attempts by the family of the late head of the National Transitional Government of Liberia, Charles G. Bryant to deny government involvement in the burial of the former statesman could erase some of Bryant memories from the Liberian History.

Brown told his weekly news briefing last week that the Bryant Family should reconsider their decision but stated that the Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf administration has not received any official notification from the family of the former head of the National Transitional Government of Liberia shunning government protocol for the funeral of the fallen statesman.
