Angola: BPC With Good Performance in 2013

Luanda — The financial performance of the Angolan Savings and Credit Bank (BPC) in 2013 was characterized by an increase of more than 68 million kwanzas net assets, set at more than 950 million kwanzas , said on Wednesday in Luanda the executive director for commercial affairs, João Ferreira.

João Ferreira, who spoke to the press after the ordinary meeting of the General Assembly of Shareholders the Bank, explained that this increase was driven primarily by a rise in loans granted to customers.

He added that in the course of 2013, about 32 new branches were opened, totalling 341 units, allowing to extend the geographical coverage of the bank to 89 %.
