Somalia: Four Jubaland Soldiers Killed in Gun Attack, Officials Meet Over Security

Kismayo — Unidentified assailants separately killed four Jubaland soldiers in the latest deadly incident in the southern port city of Kismayo, Garowe Online reports. Jubaland's Minister of Interior Gen. Mohamed Warsame Darwiish said that security forces have taken new measures after gunmen targetted soldiers and traditional leaders with planned assassinations.

"Security operations are underway and I urge the locals to closely work with the security agencies," Gen. Darwish told reporters in Kismayo. According to officials on Sunday, armed men shot and killed a soldiers followed by another gun attack that last Sunday left three Jubaland soldiers dead in Kismayo's Via Afmadow neighborhood.
