Malawi Has a Saint it Knows in Pope John Paul II - Ziyaye

Lilongwe — Catholic Faithfull's across the country have been urged to seize the canonisation of the late Pope John Paul 11 as a moment of grace.

Canonisation is the act by which the Catholic Church declares a deceased person to be a saint, and their names are subsequently included in the list of recognized saints. Archbishop Tarcizio Ziyaye of Lilongwe Archdiocese made the remarks on Tuesday when he returned from Rome where he attended the canonisation ceremony of His Holiness the late Pope John Paul 11 and Pope John XX111.
