Nigeria: Northern Youths Leaders Forum Calls for Sack of Service Chiefs If Insurgency Persists

A non-political organisation, Northern Youths Leaders Forum, (NYLF), has called for the sack of the service chiefs if insurgency persists in the North East. The group claimed the second bomb blasts in Nyanya revealed lack of competency of the security personnel in protecting the lives and properties of Nigerians.

The National Chairman of the Northern Youths Forum , comrade Eliot Afiyo told journalists in Yola that the NYLF was using the opportunity to charged President Goodluck Jonathan to give service chiefs, including the Army, the Navy, the Airforce and the Nigeria Police, two weeks ultimatum to rescue the abducted Secondary School students and intensify surveillance or be sacked from their offices. He appealed to President Goodluck Jonathan to step up action in resolving the insurgency rocking the nation before the country is routed by the insurgents.
