Egypt: One Killed in Blast At Metro Station in Cairo's Ramsis

Cairo — One person was killed in a blast that occurred near the Ahmed Orabi Metro Station in Cairo's Ramsis on Friday evening, said Khaled al-Khatib, head of the Urgent Care Unit at the Health Ministry.

The blast which happened in front of the Engineers' Syndicate also injured several others, Khatib told CBC Extra channel.

The blast was due to a bomb planted beneath a car parked near the syndicate, a security source told the channel's correspondent.
