Kenya: Water Pans in Nyando to Stop Floods

THE Kisumu government has rolled out plans to build water pans in Nyando constituency to address the perennial flooding. Water executive Barrack Abonyo said a water pan worth Sh2.5 million has been built in East Kano/Wawidhi ward to control floods.

"More water pans and dams will be build to reduce flooding that has continued to displace people annually," he said.
