Sudan: 'HAC Delays Registration Displaced in South Darfur' - Sheikh

El Salam Camp — More than 4,000 newly displaced of El Salam camp in Bielel locality, South Darfur, staged a demonstration against the Sudanese Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) in Nyala today.

"They protested against what they called 'the manipulation and procrastination of their registration by HAC. Only after their details have been officially recorded, the displaced are entitled to receive food rations," Sheikh Mahjoub Adam Tabaldiya of El Salam camp explained to Radio Dabanga. "They are waiting now for about two months."
