West Africa: Jonathan Meets U.S. Ambassador, Gets More Support, From UN, Ecowas, Others

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday met with the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. James Entwistle, in Abuja to discuss modalities for the actualisation of the offer made by President Barrack Obama to assist Nigeria in rescuing the schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls' Secondary School Chibok, Borno State.

The meeting, according to a statement issued by Jonathan's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, was on the sidelines of the ongoing World Economic Forum on Africa was a follow-up to talks held yesterday between Entwistle and Nigerian security officials on the United States offer of assistance.
