Gambia: More Jamaican Artistes Announced for 2014 Roots Musical Jamboree - As Singer Erykah Badu's Is Performance Called-Off

Two more Jamaican artistes, Scratchylus and Empress Reggae will perform at the musical jamboree scheduled for Friday, May 10th at the Independence Stadium in Bakau as part of a string of activities of this year's International Roots Festival, the event's National Organising Committee (NOC) announced Wednesday afternoon. The NOC, in a press release sent to this paper, said these artistes will now replace Erykah Badu, the music star initially billed to perform at the musical jamboree who could not make it due to "unforeseen circumstances".

"The two mighty music stars will now be performing at the jamboree together with Sizzla and Mutabaruka, on Saturday 10 May 2014 at the Independence Stadium. Fans and well wishers are kindly urged to come in their teeming numbers to grace this music bonanza. Tickets are D150 for uncovered pavilion, D250 for covered pavilion, and D1000.00 for VIP," the release concluded.
