Angola: Minister Announces Construction of Thousands of Kilometres of Roads

Menongue — The Minister of Construction, Waldemar Pires, announced on Saturday in Menongue city, southern Cuando Cubango province, the construction until 2017 of more than 10.000 kilometres of roads in different categories in the country, under the National Develoment Plan.

The minister said so when inaugurating the Menongue/Rio Longa road, in an extension of 84 kilometres, executed under the Programme for the Roads Rehabilitation.

According to him, conditions are all created so as to achieve the number of objectives, highlighting the vision of the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, whose leadership gives the necessary comfort for the government to continue looking for the future with a lot of confidence and serenity.

Waldemar Pires Alexandre recalled that it was rehabilitated, built and under construction about 600 temporary, definitive, metallic and concrete bridges.
