Luanda — "The Challenges of dollarisation of the Angolan economy" will gather on Tuesday in Luanda, economic, political and academic operators, an initiative of the National Reserve Bank of Angola (BNA).
The meeting aims to contribute to the analysis of the national currency (Kwanza) as part of the strategic objectives set out in the National Development Plan for 2013/2017 period, says a note from BNA that reached Angop on Monday.
The meeting will also discuss, among other topics, "The impact of dollarisation on financial intermediation" , "Key elements of dollarisation" and "Sharing of successful experiences of some countries".
The seminar takes place at a time when structural reforms in the fiscal, monetary, exchange sector and financial regulations is contributing to a greater recovery of the country's economy.
As part of this recovery, it is highlighted the reduction in the inflation annual rate to a single digit and the entry into force of the new exchange rate regime, which has contributed to the strengthening of the national currency, the Kwanza.
