Kenya: Woman Threatens to Sue Kidis Over Unborn Baby

KENYAN-based Tanzanian singer Kidis is yet again entangled in a baby-mama controversy. A woman allegedly expectant with his baby has threatened to sue him for negligence and absconding responsibilities as the father of the unborn baby. "I met him (Kidis) in July 2013. We formed a very strong bond and soon he started referring to me as his fiancee. There was a time I spent a brief stay at his house in Mombasa, where I also met his brother and some of his friends. To them, he introduced me as his wife to be. He also proposed that he takes me to his rural home in Tanga. It was some few weeks after the stay at the Coast that I tested pregnant with his baby. But when I told him, he became furious and denied that he was not anyhow (sic) responsible," said the woman, who requested anonymity.

She added: "We have been having a war of words since then. My lawyer wrote him a letter asking him to assume total responsibility but he never responded. So I have decided to go to court soon after the delivery. I am just a week away from giving birth."Kidis consents his "brief sexual affair" with the woman but maintains that only a DNA test will convince him thebaby is truly his.
