Kenya: Ruiru MP Asks Police Not to Harass Boda

RUIRU MP Esther Gathogo has told police not to harass boda boda operators. She said the officers should work with the operators to fight crime.

Gathogo said many boda boda operators are law abiding citizens and should not be victimised for crimes committed by imposters. She was speaking at the Ruiru PCEA church hall on Friday when she launched a road safety campaign for the boda bodas. Some 250 operators were given licences after undergoing training on road safety.
