Egypt: British Petroleum Invests $1.5 Billion in Egypt

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met on Sunday with representatives of British Petroleum (BP) oil and gas company. Minister of Petroleum Sherif Ismail attended the meeting. During the meeting, the BP delegation appreciated Egypt's government role in overcoming obstacles facing companies working on the Egyptian market.

The representatives reviewed the company's current plans to increase gas production during the second half of 2014 at investments of about $1.5 billion.
