Appeal Court judges yesterday declared that Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero was not validly elected and sent him home.
Judges GBM Kariuki and Patrick Kiage said the High Court erred in upholding Kidero's election without giving his challenger Ferdinand Waititu fair opportunity to cross-examine witnesses, hence suppressing the truth. Also sent home is Kidero's deputy Jonathan Mueke, whom the judges said was not validly elected either.
