Sudan: Villagers in North Darfur's Tawila Repel Militia Attacks

Tawila Locality — At least one man was killed, and others wounded in attacks by militiamen on five villages in Tawila locality in North Darfur on Monday.

Speaking to Radio Dabanga, villagers said that on Monday evening "government-backed militiamen in vehicles and others on camels and horses" raided the villages of Su'alba, Kunjara, Um Burma, Tandal, and Haskanita, located northwest of Tawila town.
