Juba — The US government on Wednesday welcomed the signing of a peace agreement between the South Sudanese government and the Jonglei state-based rebel leader, David Yau Yau.
"The agreement is a critical step to ending a terrible cycle of violence that has tragically impacted communities throughout Jonglei State," reads statement issued on Wednesday by the US embassy in Juba.
