East Africa: Government Partners With Safaricom to Fight Crime

The government has given Safaricom the go ahead to build the integrated public safety communication and surveillance system as part of its efforts to fight crime and terrorism.

Yesterday the president and national security officials met with the Safaricom team led by CEO Bob Collymore at his office in Harambee house for a demonstration on how the system will work.
