Tanzania: Japan Gives 54bn/ - for Irrigation Schemes

IN efforts aimed at improving agricultural sector, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is currently funding irrigation development through District Irrigation Development Fund (DIDF) amounting to 54bn/-.

The revelation was made in Dar es Salaam by JICA Chief Representative in Tanzania, Mr Onishi Yasunori during a seminar on the project for capacity development for the promotion of irrigation scheme under the District Agriculture Development Plans (DADPs).
