press release

Economic Freedom Fighters sends its revolutionary condolences to the families and friends of mineworkers in Soma, about 75 miles north-east of the Aegean coastal city of Izmir who have died in the coal mine explosion. It is reported that the death toll now stands at 282, and more bodies are expected as there were 780 people who were working that day.

Hundreds of workers are still trapped underground faced with carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide poisoning, right in the belly of the earth. EFF stands with them in prayer and hope that they will be rescued soon.
