Ghana: Airtel Reopens Ring Road Flagship Centre

AIRTEL GHANA, a telecommunications network in the country, on Wednesday reopened the Airtel Ring Road flagship customer centre to give customers a wide range of services. Ms Yacoba Amuah, Customer Experience Director, said the rehabilitation was necessary, since it would improve the working environment for customer satisfaction, and ensure that customers are well treated, in terms of problems confronting them with services.

She said Airtel had over 80 branches across the country that would also undergo rehabilitation. Ms Amuah assured customers of quality services such as registration, buying of SIM cards, and many other services. She said the Ring Road shop, the first in the series, had been segmented in such a way that customers with specific needs would identify and receive assistance in the shortest possible time, once they enter the shop .

The Head of Customer Life Cycle Management at Airtel Ghana, Ms Amanda Archer, explained that they had revamped the Airtel Premier Lounge, and incorporated an Airtel Money Corner as part of the new layout of the Ring Road shop. This, she said, would simplify transactions and reduce the time required by customers to complete these transactions in a congenial atmosphere, and within the shortest possible time.

Mr. Issac Armah, Marketing Manager, said the Airtel "Talk Chaw Ankasa" was an improved product of the Airtel "Talk Chaw" to give customers the opportunity to talk as much as they want with their loved ones. Mr. Armah said with this product, customers get five times bigger what they spend as bonus every day, to enable customers make Airtel to Airtel calls without fear of not having credit. He said Airtel's prepaid customers could enjoy the "Talk Chaw Ankasa" promotion on the Airtel network, and have the opportunity to enjoy five times bonus each day.

Mr. Armah said customers would be assigned daily usage targets, and would receive five times bonus when the target was attained, and could be spent on voice and data from their main account to achieve the usage target any time during the day. He said upon achieving the target, the customer would be instantly rewarded with five times the bonus given as bonus, which must be consumed before mid-night the same day.
