Angola: Phone Sector Intends to Reach Five Million Internet Users

Luanda — The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology intends to reach by 2017, about 14 million telephone users and five million internet users, basing on the Sector Development Plan.

This was announced on Saturday by the incumbent minister, José Carvalho da Rocha, during the inauguration act of a sale shop of wireless land line phones, under the launching of the new service of state owned Telecommunication Company Angola Telecom, dubbed "Fale Mais".

According to him, the ministry is working so that the telecommunication services are more inclusive accessible to citizens.

Without disclosing the number of clients that use various phone and internet services, José da Rocha said that his ministry wants to bring the communication services closer to the consumers.
