Tanzania: Zanzibar Faces Shortage of Skilled Workers - Don

Zanzibar — ZANZIBAR is facing a shortage of employees with crucial skills, it has been said. Speaking, a lecturer from the University College of Education, Dr Ahmed Rashid Hikmany, said the shortage has caused major management challenges for the government, though there have been some progress in some areas.

"We still have the problem of accountability in public offices just because of unskilled labour," said Hikmany at a seminar that was discussing how to improve service delivery in government institutions.
