Kenya: IEBC to Reconcile Two Voter Registers

THE Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission plans to reconcile manual and biometric voter registration, chief executive officer Betty Sungura has said.

She said the Electoral body will move with speed to ensure all issues arising from the two voter registration method are solved as the body prepares for the 2017 general election.

Sungura was speaking at Kaskazi hotel in Kwale on Thursday on the sidelines of a post election evaluation workshop for IEBC officials.

She said that it will not be cleaning the two voter registration processes but making them match to each other.

Sungura said IEBC has enough time to prepare a single voter registrer in preparation of the next general election.
