Kenya: 140 Girls Sleep in Classrooms

AUTHORITIES at Immaculate Conception Mukuyu Girls Secondary School in Cherangany have appealed forhelp to rebuild a dormitory burned on Tuesday. Principal Mary Wafula said more than 140 girls sleep in classrooms converted into dormitories.

"We have so far received minimal assistance, we urge the government and other well wishers to help build a new dormitory," she said. Wafula saiod the fire destroyed Sh6 million worth property. She was speaking to the Star at the school on Thursday.
