Nigeria: Minister Tasks Oil Companies on Adoption of Biodiversity Action Plan

The Minister of Environment, Mrs Laurentia Mallam, on Friday urged oil and gas firms in the country to adopt a new action plan to protect the nation's biodiversity.

Laurentia made the call in Port Harcourt, Rivers, at the inauguration of the Expert Working Group of the United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) Global Environment Facility (GEF) Conservation of Biodiversity project in the Niger Delta.
