Nigeria: FG Assesses Impact of Its Programmes On Nigerians

The Auditor General of the Federation (AuGF), Mr. Samuel Ukura, Monday said he had commenced the performance audit of some major government initiatives with a view to quantifying their impact on Nigerians.

Speaking in Abuja at the opening of the African Organisation of English Speaking Supreme Audit Institutions Regional course in performance audit, Ukura said the focus of the audit would largely be on food security programmes, feeding scheme in Nigerian prisons, Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), impact of federal teaching schemes in selected schools in Nigeria, police service delivery and impact of skills acquisition by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
