Nigeria: Retired Electricity Workers Protest Non-Payment of Pension, Gratuity

Bauchi and Owerri — Members of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Electricity Sector, Bauchi and Imo states chapters, on Monday, staged a peaceful protest against the alleged non-payment of their three months pension and four years gratuities.

In Bauchi, the pensioners, who protested at the front gate of the office of the Bauchi Electricity Distribution Company Plc, at Ahmadu Bello way, Bauchi, on Monday morning, chanted songs, while also carrying placards. They called on the Federal Government to pay them their entitlements.
