Private equity has been described as an important force in financial markets as it accounts for about $200 billion in investment worldwide each year. But only 10 percent of it reaches emerging markets, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has said.
This, according to the IFC is a tremendous loss of opportunity for investors as it means capital won't be invested in the fastest-growing economies.
