Minister of State for Power, Mohammed Wakil says construction work at the Katsina wind farm is at advanced staged and would be commissioned soon. A statement by his Special Assistant Media, Olawale Rasheed at the weekend said Wakil stated this while receiving the Vice President of China Hydro International, Han Yang in Abuja.
Wakil explained that the wind farm is part of the Federal Government's grand vision to use renewable energy to supplement power generation from conventional means and satisfy the energy needs of Nigerians.
