East Africa: Dar Seeks Fair Share of EA Cake

Dodoma — TANZANIA has outlined a number of measures that have already been taken or are in the process of being implemented to achieve the maximum benefit from its membership in the East African Community (EAC) and cooperation with other member states.

East African Cooperation Minister Samuel Sitta told the National Assembly on Thursday that the long-awaited implementation of the EAC Single Customs Territory, aimed at speeding up and facilitating circulation of goods and reduce the cost of doing business in the region, has started.
