Egypt: Sisi Supporters Clash With Opponents in Downtown Cairo

Cairo — Limited clashes broke out between supporters and opponents of presidential contender Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday in downtown Cairo, an Aswat Masriya witness reported.

The two parties clashed when one of the participants in "Deddak" (Against you) Campaign, which calls for releasing activist Mahinour al-Masry who was sentenced to two years in jail, tore down a pro-Sisi banner on Talaat Harb Street.

Several Sisi supporters then attacked the marching demonstrators using petrol bombs and empty bottles.
