Egypt: PEC - Reports On Canceling Sub-Committees in South Sinai Groundless

The Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) has denied as false reports fanned by foreign news agencies and news websites that voting in sub-committees in South Sinai governorate has been cancelled.

PEC Secretary General Counselor Abdel-Aziz Salman said in a statement that such news is groundless.

"All preparations pertaining to the election process in South Sinai governorate are proceeding normally," he said.

He urged the mass media not to seek any information about elections except from the official spokesman for the PEC.
