Angola: Lobito Mining Port Improves Investments

Luanda — Lobito Mining Port and the future Lobito railway (Benguela) will improve the regional business environment, said on Monday in Luanda the CEO of National Agency for Private Investment (ANIP) Maria Luísa Abrantes.

Maria Luísa Abrantes, who was speaking at workshop on "Financing the Agricultural and Agro-industry Infrastructure", said that the Lobito Mining Port whose Works is underway, will help more the interest of investors not only African as well as from other continents.

However is important to build basic infrastructure with collaboration of other investors in the areas of agriculture, development of water and energy network, as well as reconstruction of roads, bridges and airports.

In addition, she said that the implementation of new industries, good educational system, hospital and hotel network and strong tourism may reduce the unemployment, hunger and poverty in Angola.
