Nigeria: Niger Zakkat, Endowment Board Collects N70 Milion in 13 Years

Minna — Niger State Zakkat and Endowment Board has collected over N70 million in cash and kind from Muslim Ummah in the state in the last 13 years. Besides, the state government has approved the review of the framework of the Zakkat Collection Committee.

The Commissioner for Religious Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Alhaji Shehu Haruna, disclosed this in Minna on Thursday while addressing newsmen at the end of the weekly state executive council meeting.
