Liberia: Insurance Firm in Trouble With Monrovia Court, Bondsman Flees

The Continental Insurance Company finds itself in trouble with the Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice, as its bondsman charged with theft of property has reportedly fled the country.

Defendant Mamadee Kelleh a Police officer of the Liberia National Police assigned as Chief of operations at the Freeport Depot was arrested and jailed at the Monrovia Central Prison in March of this year, following a complaint filed by a Chinese woman Lilly Lee accusing the Police officer of allegedly robbing her of US$10, 000,00.
