A measles outbreak has been reported in Afmadow affecting 72 people, 50 of them children under the age of five, Somalia's Radio Bar-Kulan reported Monday (May 26th).
Hassan Mursal, director general of Afmadow Hospital, attributed the rise in measles cases to the absence of available vaccinations in the area over the last two years.
