International partners on Tuesday (May 27th) appealed to the Somali government to end the ongoing political crisis, adding that they will hold to account anyone who hinders such progress.
The joint statement by the European Union, Intergovernmental Authority on Development and the United Nations called on Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed to take "timely and decisive" action to expedite progress on the federal system, the constitutional review process, and preparations for presidential elections in 2016.
