Nigeria: WASME 2014 - Positioning SMEs for Economic Growth

Yenagoa — Over the years Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) had been identified as the fulcrum upon which the economy of a nation revolves to stimulate overall growth and development in geometric proportions.

Recently, the SME sector, again, came under focus at the opening of 20th International Conference on Small and Medium Enterprises (CSME 2014) at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Yenagoa. It was organised by the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) and hosted by the Bayelsa State Government in collaboration with other stakeholders. The event brought together people from all walks of life and who-is-who in the sector.
