Tanzania: VP Urges Uprooting of Syndicates Selling Small Arms

THE government has ordered security organs to uproot syndicates in the Great Lakes region and Horn of Africa countries perpetrating illicit proliferation of small arms and light weapons regardless of their status and position in society.

Officiating at the third Extraordinary Council of Ministers for Regional Centre on Small Arms (RECSA) Vice President Dr Mohamed Gharib Bilal said the syndicates should be dealt with, brought to the courts of law to face justice.
